Understanding the grounds & difference between committing a crime and conviction under IRPA, a quick refresher
Seminar summary A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible on grounds involving crimes committed outside Canada or having a conviction from a court of law outside Canada or in Canada. The facts that constitute inadmissibility under sections 34 to 37 include facts arising from omissions and, unless otherwise provided, facts for which there are reasonable grounds to believe that they have occurred, are occurring or may occur. This course will cover specific situations with examples to understand the difference between the law and various circumstances surrounding the applicant. |

The overview of Rule of Law and Social Justice in Canada
Seminar summary The rule of law is the idea that in order for a society to function smoothly and fairly, all its members agree to abide by a common set of rules, called “the law.” The rule of law means that everyone is subject to the law. No one, no matter how important, how rich, how educated, or how powerful, is above the law. Laws apply to everyone equally, including those in positions of power. In Canada, that includes all levels and branches of the government, legislature, Parliament, the Senate, the Prime Minister, the police, lawyers, judges, the Lieutenant Governors, the Governor General, and even the Queen. A - This is simply a system-generated a message to remind the member of his renewal. Renewal is not mandatory. We recommend for the member NOT to renew it until we announce new details early next year. After expiry, your membership level will be changed to lapsed.
